Cheap Travel: It’s all about the Season.

Traveling can be a very expensive experience, that is a fact…Or you can use your brains and elaborate a plan for cheap travel. One of the most important things to know before planning your travel is the timing. If you are running short of money, you will want to search the internet, to visit your travel agency and several airline companies to find out what seasons are best for each specific location.


A place that is a very popular destination is very expensive during high season. The high season is a period of time when the place has the best to offer. For example, in Europe the high season is the summer.


Visiting a place during the low season will give you a cheap travel experience but will you enjoy the most of each place? Will you ant to visit the Egypt on its low season, when the heat is so intense that you can hardly go out to the street?


Cheap travel does not have to be clumsy travel. The trick here is to go for what is called “The Shoulder Season”. The shoulder season is that time of the year between the low and the high season. During this period every price drops; from the lodging price to the tours price, everything is favorable to make your cheap travel experience enjoyable. The reason why the prices are low is not because the services are bad; it is because during this time of the year the demand is not as high. If you are planning to book your vacancies for the shoulder season, be ready to search for information about your location’s specific shoulder season.

Every destination has different pricing seasons and if you want to have a cheap travel you need to mine for information. Ask for a country guide book at your travel agency or search the internet for more information about your destination. Those two resources will give you the information you need about pricing seasons. Usually, the guidebooks won’t give the “shoulder season” dates right away. They will tell the best time to visit (warning: expensive high season) and the worst time to visit (cheap travel with no other pleasant experience than the breakfast room just for yourself). The trick is to book your travel in a date between those two. Research is the key. You will save money and you will learn a lot about your destination.
