Artice of the week:
Our cabin was very nice, but very small as well. It had one bathroom that had a small shower and small toilet and sink area. The beds were very comfortable and there was a small dresser and chair. More than suffecient for our trip.
The rest of the ship was just amazing. The main atrium area was beautiful with glass elevators and very large stairs. Many shops, lounges, and other amenities surrounded this area. The ship had a movie theater, a gym, a spa and sauna area. The pool on the top deck was very large and nice with a big water slide that the girls loved. Surrounding the pool was a nice deck with lounge chairs and towels for sunning or relaxing.
After a quick tour, we went back to our cabin to freshen up for dinner. Once dinner time arrived we walked to the large and very nice dinning room. We were seated with our family and another family for four. We made this selection when we made our reservation. We could have had a table for just us four, but thought it would be more fun to meet other people as well.
The dinner was very good. We had the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. It was well prepared and tasted fantastic. The desserts were good as well, maybe better than what we have at home, but I am not going to let my wife know that. After dinner we took in a Las Vegas style show in one of the two show rooms.
I could go on for days explaining how much we enjoyed our cruise. There was a day when we put our two daughters in a teen tour. Where one of the ships fun directors lead a group of girls on a tour of the ship. They got to see and enjoy all parts of the ship, plus they were able to learn a bit as well. That evening they were taken to a kids only show put on by the ships staff. They seemed to be well chaperoned and had a good time.
While the girls were out for the day, my wife and I were able to enjoy the ships many features. We started with our work out at the gym for me, and quick trip in the spa for her. After than, we went to a brunch on the upper deck. Later that evening we had dinner and spent some time in the on board casino. I played the roulette table and my wife enjoyed some slots.
We then went and met the kids and went to the deck for some dessert. The kids had a great day, and my wife and I did as well.
The next days was the formal captains dinner and we also took a shore excursion to a Carnival owned island where we were able to do some snorkling and enjoyed a island party on the beach.
All in all a great Thanksgiving weekend. The family cannot wait until we can do it again.
